Dana Dansby was born and raised in the city of Birmingham, Alabama. Her husband, John Dansby, is a manager of a distribution center.
Dana attained a license in ministry in 1999, and worked in women’s ministry, biblical counseling, and bible study. Her counseling interests is in family, marriage, and couple’s therapy.
Dana is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, with a B.S. degree in nursing. Recently, she attained her M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. She is currently a licensed MFT intern with the State of Alabama under the supervision of Bart Grooms, LPC, LMFT, M.Div, who is also a Clinical Member in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Dana’s internship experience included working at Hillcrest Hospital and Lotus Counseling Center. She worked as an intern at these organizations as part of our graduate course clinical experience. Currently, she is working towards her Associates License in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her clinical focus is working with families, couples, individuals, and groups. Her work includes using Systems Theory and Spirituality to help clients achieve their goals. She believes that helping people through counseling is her calling, and her trust in God enables her to help others.
